Veronica Croteau, Intern Therapist
Circumstances in our lives can cause us to fall into patterns that no longer serve us. As we navigate life’s challenges, we may feel overwhelmed, self-conscious, or alone.
I understand that change is a difficult process. During this process we can grieve people, patterns, and behaviour, even if they are no longer serving us. Making intentional changes can be easier with a caring support to your healing journey that fits your individual needs.
My goal is to create an environment that helps you feel safe and understood to achieve the life, mindset, and wellbeing you deserve. You can take control of your healing, sometimes we need a little support to build our capacity to thrive and recognize the strength that already exists within us. Starting your therapy journey is a courageous act and I commend you for being here as you consider your next step forward.

In my free time, I enjoy getting lost in a good story through audiobooks or shows and spending time with people I care about. I value meaningful connections, balance and a good sense of humour.

Trauma therapy at Blue Coast Psychotherapy can help you process past experiences and move forward.
TRAUMA CAN SHOW UP AS:
Persistent low mood, a feeling of heaviness, or a lack of enjoyment in things that used to bring you joy?
Flashbacks or intrusive memories
Nightmares or disturbed sleep
Hypervigilance or feeling “on edge”
Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe
Numbness, detachment, or avoidance
Anxiety, depression, or irritability
Trouble concentrating or remembering things
Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from yourself or others?
Do you feel stuck in the effects of trauma? Are previous experiences making it hard to feel safe, connected, or at peace?
Trauma can leave lasting imprints on both the mind and body, shaping how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. You may notice it in the form of anxiety, sleepless nights, feeling constantly on edge, or a deep sense of disconnection. At Blue Coast Psychotherapy, we understand that healing from trauma isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about gently creating space for safety, resilience, and reconnection. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, we support you in processing painful experiences and moving toward a life where calm, balance, and wholeness feel possible again.
