THERAPY IN SARNIA-LAMBTON   |   VIRTUAL ACROSS ONTARIO

Brianna King Registered Psychotherapist

Brianna King, M.A.
Registered Psychotherapist
Clinical Director

When we experience trauma or stress, our system can become stuck in patterns of protection and survival. This is a natural response to stress in a world that often demands more than we can safely hold. Often, the body and nervous system remember what the mind has learned to push away. This can show up in our daily lives as sadness, avoidance, anger, perfectionism, people-pleasing, suicidal thoughts, or dissociation. In my practice, I take a holistic approach that honours the connection between mind, body, and emotion. Together, we explore current and past experiences, and uncover patterns that once helped you cope but may now be holding you back.

I work with youth and adults who experience dysregulation related to trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, eating concerns, and more. I take an individualized approach to accommodate each client’s unique experience, needs, and goals for therapy. My work is grounded in an integrated, trauma-informed approach to therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities that support deep, lasting wellbeing.

Above all, I believe that healing happens in safety and connection. I prioritize creating a grounded, trusting space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. Through collaboration and curiosity, we build the stability needed to work towards healing, integration, and growth.

Trauma therapy at Blue Coast Psychotherapy can help you process past experiences and move forward.

TRAUMA CAN SHOW UP AS:
Persistent low mood, a feeling of heaviness, or a lack of enjoyment in things that used to bring you joy?

Flashbacks or intrusive memories

Nightmares or disturbed sleep

Hypervigilance or feeling “on edge”

Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe
Numbness, detachment, or avoidance

Anxiety, depression, or irritability

Trouble concentrating or remembering things

Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from yourself or others?

Do you feel stuck in the effects of trauma? Are previous experiences making it hard to feel safe, connected, or at peace?

Trauma can leave lasting imprints on both the mind and body, shaping how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. You may notice it in the form of anxiety, sleepless nights, feeling constantly on edge, or a deep sense of disconnection. At Blue Coast Psychotherapy, we understand that healing from trauma isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about gently creating space for safety, resilience, and reconnection. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, we support you in processing painful experiences and moving toward a life where calm, balance, and wholeness feel possible again.
