If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, you’re not alone.
Life has a way of pulling us into patterns that once made sense and then quietly stop serving us. Maybe you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, self-conscious, or more alone than you’d like to admit. Perhaps a relationship ended, life took an unexpected turn, or you’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you’ve lost sight of yourself. Anxiety, low mood, burnout, or feeling stuck are not signs that something is permanently wrong with you. They’re signs that something deserves care, understanding, and attention, and you deserve support with that.
I work with youth (10+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, self-esteem, burnout, boundary setting, and life transitions. My role isn’t to tell you what to do or hand you a formula. Together, we’ll explore the patterns beneath what you’re experiencing, build on the strengths you already have, and help you move toward a life that feels aligned with you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness, tailoring each session to your unique needs. I also believe it’s important to acknowledge that change often comes with grief. Letting go of familiar patterns, even the ones that no longer serve us, can be difficult, and therapy creates space for that process.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queen’s University, a Child and Youth Care diploma from Lambton College, and I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and have completed additional training in trauma treatment through STARR and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). I offer in-person sessions in Sarnia, as well as virtual and phone appointments across Ontario. I currently have daytime, evening, and weekend availability and offer a sliding scale for those who may benefit.
Outside the office, I’m usually lost in a good story through audiobooks or shows, and spending time with the people I care about most. I value meaningful connection, balance, and a good sense of humour. And since you’ve made it this far: how many psychotherapists does it take to change a light bulb? One, but the light bulb has to WANT to change.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to connect. Book a free consultation, and let’s talk about what moving forward could look like for you.
