You’re not broken. You’re carrying something that was never supposed to be yours to carry alone.
You may have called it anxiety, stress, burnout, or just feeling overwhelmed. But underneath those labels, you’re exhausted from surviving. You’re waking up tired, pushing through your responsibilities, feeling triggered by things you can’t explain, and wondering why you can’t just “handle it” like everyone else seems to. Meanwhile, your relationships are suffering, your body is speaking up through headaches, pain, stomach issues, and exhaustion, and you don’t feel at home in your own life anymore. The people closest to you are getting whatever is left at the end of the day, which lately isn’t much. What looks like anxiety is often trauma that hasn’t had anywhere to go. What feels like numbness is often a nervous system that learned to protect you. And if you’ve ever thought, “Nothing that bad even happened to me, so why am I still struggling?” I want you to hear this: your experiences are valid, your symptoms make sense, and you don’t have to figure this out alone.
My work focuses on helping people understand how trauma continues to show up long after the original experiences are over. I don’t believe in surface-level symptom management. I look at the whole person: childhood experiences, relationships, physical health, nervous system responses, and the patterns running underneath the concerns that brought you to therapy. In our sessions, I meet you where you are. Some clients need space to talk while others need more guidance and questions. We move at a pace that feels manageable while staying curious about what’s happening beneath the surface, including what your body is communicating, because trauma leaves clues there long before we have words for it. The goal is not to manage symptoms forever. It’s to understand where they come from so you can begin feeling connected to yourself again.
I’ve been working in the trauma field for over a decade as a therapist, and even longer than that before I ever sat with a client. My education began in psychology and women’s studies, where I focused my research, training, and clinical work on trauma and its impacts. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist seeing clients in person in Sarnia and virtually across Ontario, currently accepting new clients onto my waitlist. Clients often tell me I’m the first person who has truly “gotten it,” and that for the first time they didn’t feel like what they were bringing to the room was too much. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching people walk into my office carrying things they’d been told were their fault, and I’ve watched them leave carrying those experiences differently.
If you’re tired of doing this alone and wondering whether things can get better, book your free 20-minute consult and take the first step toward feeling like yourself again.

More About Me
Outside of running my practice, you’ll usually find me with my husband, our two children, and our dog Hazel. I’m a homeschooling parent who is passionate about home education and child development, and I could happily talk about either for hours. I have a sourdough starter named Sally, more named plants than I’ll admit to, and most days involve a book in my hand and an attempt to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
