Something from your past keeps showing up in your present, even when you’ve done everything you can to move beyond it.

Maybe it’s thoughts you can’t quiet, emotions that feel difficult to manage, uncertainty about who you are, or patterns in your relationships that you understand but can’t seem to change. You might feel disconnected from yourself or frustrated that experiences from years ago still have so much influence over your life today. Often, the ways we learned to cope and protect ourselves, especially in childhood or during difficult experiences, made sense at the time. But what once helped us survive can eventually make it harder to live, connect, and show up in the ways we want to.

In our sessions, I make it a priority to create a space where you can put down what you’re carrying and look at it from a new perspective. Not to be overwhelmed by it, but to actually process it, so it no longer has to dictate what comes next. I work with teenagers and adults navigating through trauma, depression, anxiety, dissociation, identity formation, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My approach is relational and paced to what you need, and I draw on EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mindful Self-Compassion to support that work. The goal isn’t simply to collect more coping strategies. It’s to help you understand yourself more deeply, process what continues to hurt, and move forward in a way that feels like your own.

I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Just as important as the tools I use is the relationship we build. I believe meaningful therapy depends on feeling safe enough to be honest, curious, authentic, and vulnerable, and creating that sense of safety is something I prioritize from our first session.

Outside the office, I’m happiest when I can spend time outdoors, although I’m just as content curled up on the couch with my two cats and a good book. I value having space to slow down and reconnect, something I believe matters both inside and outside the therapy room.

If you’re tired of feeling like your past keeps finding its way into your present, you don’t have to keep working through it alone. Reach out today – I look forward to meeting you!
