The hardest experiences in life can change the way we see ourselves, but they don’t have to define the rest of our story.
When you’ve tried the strategies you know—or don’t know where to start—stress, old wounds, or grief can feel even heavier. Maybe circumstances have changed, or you’re tired from carrying what you can’t put down. You might be navigating loss, a relationship that’s fraying at the edges, a past that keeps showing up in the present, or a hard season of life.
In our sessions, you bring the expertise of your lived experience, and I bring support, perspective, and tools for new approaches. Together we’ll make sense of what feels heavy, explore how the past continues to shape the present, and work toward greater agency, relief, and insight.
I draw on EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Brainspotting—not as a rigid framework, but as a flexible toolkit for your unique needs.
I work with youth aged 12+, adults, older adults, and couples, with a focus on trauma, PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, burnout, infidelity, and life transitions. Sessions are available in person in Sarnia and virtually across Ontario.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, registered with the CRPO. I am a first generation immigrant, and before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in community journalism and corporate communications. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the stories we carry and how they shape the way we see ourselves. It continues to inform how I listen to other’s stories and the questions I ask.
Outside of therapy, you’ll often find me with a good book, my cat nearby, and a cup of tea in hand. A quote from Dr. Maya Angelou continues to guide me: “During bad circumstances, which is the human inheritance, you must decide not to be reduced.” I believe that while difficult experiences can help shape us, they never define the whole of who we are.
If you’re ready to make sense of your story and move toward a future that feels lighter and more connected, I’d be honoured to walk by your side.
